BIOGRAFIE - DISCOGRAFIE TINA TURNER:

TINA TURNER

In acea seara, invitati erau the Kings of Rhythm, solistul fiind Ike Turner, nimeni altul decat viitorul ei sot.

Acesta este momentul in care cantareata inchide capitolul Ike in viata ei, parasindu-l. Revine in viata muzicala dupa un an, iar in 1981 Rod Stewart o remarca si o invita sa cante alaturi de el piesa “Hot Legs”. Urmeaza concerte in deschiderea trupei Rolling Stones si uneori interpretari alaturi de Mick Jagger.

Dupa 4 single-uri de succes, Tina primeste un rol alaturi de Mel Gibson in cea de-a treia serie a filmului “Mad Max – Beyond The Thunderdome” si il accepta pe loc. In aceeasi zi, in timpul unei sesiuni de autografe, primeste un telefon care o anunta ca noul ei single, “What's Love Got To Do With It?” este pe locul 1. Era pentru prima data in 25 de ani cand Tina ajungea in fruntea clasamentelor. Albumul “Private Dancer” s-a vandut in peste 10 milioane exemplare in toata lumea si contine 4 super hituri: “Let's Stay Together”, “What's Love Got To Do With It?”, “Better Be Good To Me” si “Private Dancer”. In 1985 castiga doua trofee la Galele Premiilor Muzicale Americane, iar dupa spectacol, alaturi de multi alti interpreti ai momentului, inregistreaza piesa “We Are The World” pentru a ajuta poporul etiopian.

O luna mai tarziu aveau sa urmeze trei premii mult mai importante: Premiul Grammy pentru cea mai buna interpreta pop (“What's Love Got To Do With It?”), Premiul Grammy pentru cea mai buna interpreta rock (“Better Be Good To Me”) si Premiul pentru cea mai buna inregistrare (“What's Love Got To Do With It?”). The Best”, “I Don't Wanna Lose You” si “Steamy Windows”.

In septembrie 1991 apare prima compilatie cu cele mai mari hituri ale sale, “Simply The Best”, tot acum aparand si filmul biografic de mare succes “What's Love Got To Do With It?”.
